Project Overview
As a student designer for Anderson University, I developed the visual identity for the university's annual campus theme. The identity served as the primary graphic system for the academic year and was applied across print, digital, environmental graphics, and promotional materials used throughout campus.
Challenge
Each year's campus theme required a unique visual identity that could remain recognizable while adapting to dozens of formats over the course of the year. The system needed to feel cohesive whether it appeared on a social media graphic, a poster, a T-shirt, or an academic schedule.
Rather than creating a single graphic, my goal was to build a flexible visual language that could support a wide variety of communications without becoming repetitive.

Process
I began by developing a simple illustration that could become the visual anchor of the campaign. Keeping the illustration intentionally minimal made it easy to scale, crop, layer, and reuse across different applications.
Once the illustration was established, I developed a custom typographic treatment that complemented the artwork while remaining legible across both large environmental graphics and smaller printed materials.
To give the identity additional flexibility, I also curated a photography library that could be paired with the illustration and typography in different ways. This allowed the visual system to shift between expressive promotional pieces and more informational communications while maintaining a consistent look throughout the year.
