Hi, I’m Caroline States, an illustrator based in Chicago.
My path to children’s book illustration began unexpectedly when a coffee shop regular suggested I illustrate his book. It was a perfect fit! With a background in design, I love playing with color, light, and composition to create art that’s both fun and visually engaging for kids. I’m the illustrator behind Zip Splitzkins' Lost Words: Forgiveness (2024), and I’m currently working on the next book in the series.
