Hi, I’m Caroline States, an illustrator based in Chicago.
My path to children’s book illustration began unexpectedly when a coffee shop regular suggested I illustrate his book. We hit it off when brainstorming ideas, and we're currently working on our second book together! With a background in design, I love playing with color, light, and composition to create art that’s both educational and visually engaging for kids. My digital work is heavily influenced by traditional art media. In addition to Kids Lit projects, I’m also interested in editorial work and always open to connecting with authors and publishers.
